- "change Directory" allows you to change the input directory from which
- structured language files may be chosen on the Files Menu. This is especially
- convenient on large projects. Each programming group or programmer may have
- a separate directory. When a group finishes working on input text files in
- one logical area, it can easily access input text files in another area by
- using this command.
-
- Responding with a single period -- "." -- to the prompt "Enter new
- directory:" is the way to leave the default directory unchanged and return
- you to the Main Menu.
-
- In general, two periods -- ".." -- specify the parent of your current
- directory. If you were currently in directory "\CHART\INPUT", responding
- with ".." to the prompt "Enter new directory:" would change the default
- directory to "\chart".
-
- All MS-DOS path features are implemented. For example, responding to the
- "new directory?" prompt with "CHARLIE" changes to the subdirectory (by that
- name) of the currently selected directory, whereas an entry of "\CHARLIE"
- selects the CHARLIE subdirectory only if it is a subdirectory of the root
- (main directory).
